give a meter
There are 4 different ways to pass on your meter readings to EDF:
- via EDF application
- through your online account
- Bel 0333 200 5108
- Let your Smart Meter automatically send readings
Ensures accurate, automatic meter readings ⚡️
Did you know that this is possible with a smart meterNever submit a meter reading againagain! Always 100% accurate billing. Call us for more information about automatic meter reading.
02039927717
You must submit meter readings regularly, but how often depends on your payment method. If you are not sure about your payment method, you can find it in your online account, but EDF will ask for your meter reading if necessary.
If you don't provide your meter reading, you will be charged an estimate of how much energy EDF thinks you use, which may end up being more than you actually have.
Why is my EDF smart meter not working?
Unfortunately, problems with the smart meter are all too common. If you have a problem with your EDF smart meter, you naturally want this resolved as quickly as possible. In most cases this is easy to fix, but you may need to ask an EDF Energy technician for help.
If the problem is with your home monitor, the first thing you should check is the battery. A home monitor's battery life is around 4 hours, so it's worth leaving it plugged in to avoid future problems.
If you have an older smart meter, your meter may have lost its smart functionality. This can happen if you change suppliers if your meter is not compatible with their software. Energy companies are working to upgrade meters or upgrade the way smart meters work to restore smart functionality.
If you have any questions, you can contact EDF Energy on 0333 008 7000 or via their live chat on their website.
